WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

The Write Juice was birthed from our sister company, The Write Fit, a streetwear company founded in 2013 that represents fashion, street and soul. In 2019, we expanded the brand in response to the community’s need for fresh and healthy beverage options for people on the go. So it was only right to blend health and wellness into the overall brand ingredients.

With experience cultivating relationships in the community and advocating for food justice programs for youth, our CEO, Joshlyn Turner, took a closer look at the lack of healthy resources available to the community. One day while driving in between meetings in southeast San Diego, Joshlyn relentlessly looked for a quick healthy option she could grab on the go that didn’t include a burrito from the taco shop or a bag of hot cheetos from the corner store. That’s when she realized there was an immediate need for “on the go healthy options” that could serve central San Diego, especially in the underserved communities.

Born and raised in Southeast San Diego, Joshlyn always wanted to build a legacy that would impact her city for years to come. She believes that if people have options, then they could make better choices, intentionally. In keeping with the branding theme, Joshlyn and The Write Juice Team are helping people rewrite their health story with custom menu options to fit their needs. Our products are made with quality ingredients for a refreshing taste. As the first Black woman owned smoothie truck, we have set the bar high!

Oh and there’s one more thing! For those familiar with The Write Fit, the drink names will sound familiar to you. We knew this would not only resonate with our established followers, but it would introduce new customers to unapologetic brand of The Write Fit. Together, both companies provide an authentic lifestyle brand that encourages customers to Live it, Love it, Wear it .. or Drink it!
